چکیده
Background: Over 2 million deaths from the COVID-19 disease have been reported in world. Since no antiviral treatment is available, vaccination most important option to fight SARS-CoV-2 infection. Patients living with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) affecting immune system or under immunosuppressive agent will be considered as a high risk population and start shortly. But many patients could decline vaccine for several reasons including safety concerns. Objectives: The aim of this study evaluate proportion RA who are favourable vaccination, know analyse characteristics these patients. Methods: We included UCLouvain Brussels cohort met ACR/EULAR 2010 classification criteria. A simple standard questionnaire was distributed attended rheumatology out patient day care clinic 14 december 20 januari 21. All (Age, gender, education, smoking habits, duration, ACPA, RF, DAS28-CRP, HAQ therapies) were collected at same time. Results: Data 460 eligible analyzed. average age 58.21 years. 72% women. 21% smokers 65% positive anti-citrullinated protein antibody (ACPA) mean DAS28-CRP 2.39 0.821. 281 (61%) indicated they would receive soon it available. For 179 (39%) decline, not having trust time (53%), fear side effects (28%), opposition (4%), previous infection (2%) unknown (5%), Interestingly, there differences among willing vaccine. Patient 50, women, low education grade, smokers, presence RF/ACPA bioDMARD less No observed (see Table 1). 1. Characteristics correlation between groups. Distinct psychological distress trajectories in RA: findings from an inception cohort Short title: Psychological distress trajectories in RA
Objective: As with other chronic physical illness, rates of depressive disorder are high in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The aim of the current study was to identify distinct trajectories of psychological distress over 10-years in a cohort of RA patients recruited very early in the course of the disease. Methods: Psychological distress as measured by the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale tota...
متن کاملFrom patients with arthralgia, pre-RA and recently diagnosed RA: what is the current status of understanding RA pathogenesis?
It is believed that therapy for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is the most effective and beneficial within a short time frame around RA diagnosis. This insight has caused a shift from research in patients with established RA to patients at risk of developing RA and recently diagnosed patients. It is important for improvement of RA therapy to understand when and what changes occur in patients develop...
متن کاملLessons and challenges from RA
The application of modern imaging modalities such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ultrasonography (US) to rheumatoid arthritis (RA) has led to important advances in understanding of disease phenotype that are now impacting on diagnosis, monitoring and even therapy delivery. This presentation overviews the concepts derived from modern RA imaging, to underpin discussions of their relevanc...
متن کاملInfection rates in patients from five rheumatoid arthritis (RA) registries: contextualising an RA clinical trial programme
OBJECTIVE Patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) have an increased risk of serious infections. Comparing infection rates across RA populations is complicated by differences in background infection risk, population composition and study methodology. We measured infection rates from five RA registries globally, with the aim to contextualise infection rates from an RA clinical trials population. ...
متن کاملHypoxia in RA
Introduction Maintaining oxygen homeostasis is of vital importance for the survival and development of mammalian cells. Hypoxia (below-normal levels of oxygen in air, blood and tissue) can potentially lead to cellular dysfunction and ultimately cell death and is a feature of many pathological conditions. Understanding how reduced oxygen levels may contribute to or even promote disease is a sign...
